MARKSMAN HAVASU

MARKSMAN HAVASU

June 2025

Marksman Havasu is a 5-day adventure to Havasu Canyon designed to train, equip and challenge men to take their relationship with the Lord to the next level. This unforgettable journey takes place in the western portion of the Grand Canyon in northern Arizona on the Havasupai Native American reservation. The trip features backpacking and tent camping as well as 26 miles of hiking that will take men to 5 breathtaking and iconic waterfalls. In addition to visiting the famous Havasu Falls, hikers will also visit New Navajo Falls, Rock Falls, Mooney Falls and Beaver Falls. The Havasu Marksman trip is designed as Marksman 301, exclusively available for those who have already completed a Marksman Bootcamp training (101) and Zion Marksman trip (201).

The Marksman Havasu trip includes the following itinerary:

Day 1 (Sun): Lodging in Seligman, AZ (all participants must arrive in Seligman, AZ, no later than 8:00p AZ time)
Day 2 (Mon): 10-mile one-way hike to Supai Village & Havasu Campground with overnight creekside camping
Day 3 (Tues): 18-mile roundtrip hike to Mooney Falls, Beaver Falls & the Colorado River confluence
Day 4 (Wed): 6-mile roundtrip hike to New Navajo Falls & Hidden Falls
Day 5 (Thurs): Helicopter flight from Supai Village to Hualapai Hilltop & lunch in Flagstaff; ETA to Farmington ~10p MST

Each of the 5 days will include biblical Marksman training designed to help each man gain further clarity for God's purpose of his own life as well as steps on how to get there.

The cost of the trip includes all Havasupai permits, campsite fees, registration fees, Native American taxes, helicopter flight, lodging and meals while camping. The cost of the trip does not include transportation to/from Seligman, AZ, camping gear you may need to rent/purchase, or restaurant meals during travel. (Note: This trip is more expensive than the Zion trip primarily due to the cost of permits. Permit rates in 2024 cost $455 per hiker, which account for over half the cost of the entire trip. Those who have gone say the trip is absolutely worth the investment. Participants with official Native American documentation from any tribe will be reimbursed for the full cost of their permit 2-4 weeks after the trip.)

Overview: The Marksman Bootcamp is for men who want to get personally trained and equipped by Matt Mizell on how to aim for the life God designed you to live. Each bootcamp consists of a small group of men who will go on a journey together as they unpack God's purpose in their lives. Unlike Zion Marksman trips, no physical labor is involved for Marksman Bootcamps. A registration fee of $10 covers your Marksman workbook. This group is for men only (18 and older) and capacity is limited. Please do not register someone else; only register yourself. Each bootcamp runs for 7 weeks, one night a week, for 2 hours each session. Attendance is crucial for all 6 weeks. If you cannot commit to all 7 weeks, please leave the space for someone else. The location for the bootcamp will be confirmed with those who register. Those who join the waitlist will be given first priority for the next bootcamp once dates are released. Participants may join in-person or online.
