Matt's keynote "Leader Worth Following" speech is a 55-minute high-energy speech that keeps students engaged with a mixture of stories, games, giveaways, audience participation and several topics including:
Students will learn why "leadership" is one of the most misused and misunderstood words in the English language.
Students will discover how tapping into their unique attributes will significantly increase their effectiveness as a leader.
Students will not only learn the difference between good leaders and bad, but will learn how to become a great, life-changing leader.
Students will identify the worst pitfall of leadership, why it ruins leadership potential, and how to avoid it.
Students will be challenged to be one another's advocates by showing respect and appreciation for their classmates.
Students will be challenged to think about what comes after high school graduation, whether college, military or another job.
Students will learn how being different from one another is a positive thing and something to be celebrated.
Students will learn how true success isn't just a big house or nice car, but is unique based on who they are.
Students struggling with depression, self-harm or suicidal thoughts will be inspired to think differently about themselves.
Students will be motivated to look at their lives in such a way that results in value and worth to themselves and others.
Matt offers simple steps in a short optional debriefing for teachers to help them best serve their students after the speech.
Teachers are provided the option to print off a PDF guide to lead peer-to-peer classroom discussions for practical application.
